SILLY RABBIT

Okay, so this White Rabbit comes into the living room.
I grab my brand new camera with the automatic zoom.
He keeps on looking at his watch and yelling that he's late.
He surely does not want to miss his most important date.

He yells - "Hello" and then "Goodbye" while dashing through the house.
I yell right back, "Please quiet down, least you awake my spouse.
You have upset my whole household as you go running through.
At this time of the morning, have you nothing more to do?"

Now decorated eggs he drops wherever he does roam.
I tell him, "Go upset the folks in someone else's home!"
We have no children lurking in the room behind that door.
You needn't waste your time by running 'round here, anymore.

I explain very carefully, he still has time to spare,
And that he still has several days before his time to share.
With Rabbit grin and wiggling ears he picked up all the sweets,
And said he'd be back anyway, for everyone needs treats.

"You do not need the little ones to have the joy inside.
Just let the Springtime in, for this is not a time to hide.
Allow your heart to feel and love this special time of year.
And you will find that you, my friend, have nothing left to fear."

I listened to the Rabbit and the message that he shared.
His much too early visit truly showed me that he cared.
He mentioned only happiness; he mentioned love and spring,
And all the joy this unique time of year can surely bring.

So, when the Rabbit visits may he bring you love and peace.
If only for one Special Day, may all your sorrows cease.
For you this is my Easter wish ~ May little dreams come true.
And may you find encouragement in Everything you do!
